Boston Celtics = No effort

The Boston Celtics lost another game to the Cleveland Cavaliers in what seems like a loss of will. During Sunday’s game Paul Pierce seemed frustrated and his shot was not there. Ray Allen was really the only player that had it going.
Ever since the trading deadline past, Allen has been really consistent in the first and fourth quarters. However during the 2nd to 3rd quarters the Celtics stop running plays for him.
Rasheed Wallace, who was brought in for his experience, seems to be the worst acquisition of the year. Wallace was brought in for his ability to spread the floor and give other centers a hard time. However, his basketball IQ seems to be equal to the millions he is making, 6.
Wallace was once a feared basketball player who could shoot the jumper and take anyone in the post. Sadly, he has decided to cut his efforts and do little-to-no   work. Yesterday, twice he settled for jumpers while being guarded by a smaller player.
It also doesn’t help that his FG and 3-Pt average is at an all time low. If I were Doc I would fine him every time he was 15ft. away from the basket and he did not try to drive in. He is a talented post-up player who has just become lazy.
On the other side of the spectrum you have Rajan Rondo. A great point guard with amazing quickness; however, the one thing the guy can’t do is make an 18 footer. He should really spend the off season practicing his outside shot. Opponents are letting him shoot the jumper and doubling on Ray Allen and Paul Piece. I think the ball is better handled by Ray Allen as he commands the double coverage as soon as he is 24 ft. away from the basket. This leaves Pierce and Rondo free to roam.
If things continue the way they are Boston will not make it to the Finals this year and you can expect major changes to this team.
