Homeless become a part of the suburban landscape

Today I was driving past an upper class mall in Miami, Florida called the Falls. It's located on the corner of SW 136 and US-1. It was really hard to see a woman in her early-mid 20's asking for money. The major intersection has also become a place for homeless people ask/beg for food.
I stood on the side of the road noticing, which type of people gave to the homeless based on the car make and model they drove. The luxury cars hardly bothered to roll down their window. However, people in middle class cars and those working on company vehicles were generally a lot more giving.
It's never good to see another human being in need of food already shelter.
