Fakahatchee Strand Preserve in the Everglades

Valerie and I had a planned outing to the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve in the Everglades. I was excited because I had never been out there. Sadly, the weather man was incorrect in his prediction of the weather. What we got was tiny seconds of rain with consequent downpour.

This was said moment of rain. It slowed down enough for this photo. I used the Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 with the Sony A7R. I had the camera out most of the time it was raining and it function well. Even while getting rained on; I'm glad it worked.

While on the drive back home, we stopped by a part of the fields that had burned. The contrast of the blue sky and the red/orange field was beautiful. I took a couple of shots with the shutter speed at 4 and 3 seconds. Unfortunately, my sensor was disgracefully dirty.
Below is my partner in crime for this outing, Valerie.

Dirty sensor picture.
